Taiwan Fylin Industrial, Asia’s leading Unit-Load-Device company, will be launching their latest product, a lightweight fiberglass container, at the Airport Expo 08 in Las Vegas from April 8 – 10, 2008.
With airlines trying to find new, lighter materials to cut fuel costs, this container will no doubt be well received by the industry. It offers a lighter alternative to traditional aluminum containers, and is available at an extremely cost-effective price.
Ms. Shin Liu, Sales Director at Fylin, says that the company is very excited with the launch of the product, called TUFFlight, as it is extremely easy to maintain and has a very short lead time on the new product and on part replacement. She says that the container weighs as little as 63 kg, cutting 13 kg off a traditional aluminum container.
TUFFlight also has an advantage in that it has been designed for rigidity, a feature lacking in other composite ULDs.
